Padstow PiKassos

These classes will give young people the opportunity to learn some new skills as well as meet new friends and socialise in a friendly environment. In the class we provide various activities such as: Arts & Crafts, Mosaics, Cooking, Knitting, Games, Gardening etc.

When:       Every Tuesday

Time:        4:00pm - 6:00pm

Age:            8 - 16 years old

Cost:           Varies depending on term length

Pen Pals

A fun and creative writing workshop for primary students to compose and send letters to their pen pal, a senior citizen in the local community. Our worker works with students in local schools and seniors from local Nursing Homes., Retirement Villages & Seniors Groups and brings them together through correspondence. The students gain support in their writing skills as well as a connection with a senior role model and the seniors gain companionship from a young person.

Homework Help

An opportunity for school aged students to get some assistance with their homework.

Please note: This is not Tutoring.

Please Note: Due to Covid 19 we have only been able to assist students via Zoom.

School Holiday Activities

Each school holidays we aim to do a many activities as we can for families and young people.

The activities we offer vary based on what funding we have as well as what is popular with our clientele.

We do activities such as:

•         Cinema outings,
•         Fruit picking
•         Farm visits
•       High ropes
•       Team building activities,
•       Zoo
•       Jamberoo
•        Museums

Just to name a few

Some of these activities are for young people only and some are offered to families. Most activities that we offer, we provide transport to and from the activity on our Coolaburoo buses.

We try to make sure that all our activities are affordable and often offer family discounts.

Joint School Holiday Activities

Each Year in collaboration with 4 other Local Services we do 3 grand school Holiday Activities. By collaborating we are able to bring young people from different Bankstown LGA areas and services together as well as giving services the opportunity to do larger activities they may not normally be able to.

Each service gets to take 10 participants and we head over to the activities on a large coach.

The activities are as follows:

January School Holidays – Raging Waters

June/July School Holidays – Jamberoo

September/October School Holidays – Luna Park

We reserve our spots for our regular clients and if not filled then offer them to the general public.
